This is a courtier of the Crane Clan. She is pristine, her hair perfectly done, her light make up as if it were naturally part of her face. The Crane excel at the art of court, and appearance is as important as anything. She should be beautiful, but conservative, Crane women do not show off skin the way Scorpion do. Honor demands purity and the Crane have it in spades.

WoW... this is so perfect. Nice vision, one of the best techniques for me and perfect details. I dont see the story in the painting, it is just beautiful, the graphics, her style, the background... everything. The colors are chosen very nice to mix with each other. I like very much how her eyes are made : ) All in all it is cool painting, but I think with a little more story about the girl and her life or her world, people she is with or something else, it would be better, but dont stop doing what are you doing, because I can only dream about painting as good as you ; )

This piece is absolutely beautiful and masterfully done. The photo realism of the facial features in itself is something to be admired considerably, and the softness that has been created with the harmonious colours and lighting gives it such a light feel.
I can't think of anything to criticise with the piece in terms of delivery at all :) The detail in the cherry blossoms and little things like the cranes flying outside of the house (Which again, links back to the character herself), makes the artwork seem so much more lifelike!
Congratulations on such a wonderful piece, keep up the amazing work, I hope to see more like this in the future :)

legend of the five rings? what is it? a book,a tv series,computer game? it looks like something id wanna see/read/play. this looks amazing by the way!!! i love everything the fan and cherry blossems and her crown-thingy its just so amazing and realistic looking!!!

Oh GOD that's soooo beautiful :). I LOVE it! It blends together 2 of my fave colors, & Asian-inspired art. The lady in it is very beautiful, & I love how her headdress & kimono complement the background. It's kinda weird, but she resembles a character I was writing about in a book when I was 12.

Normally it's weird seeing Asians w/ pale features that are common in those of Northern European descent, but since this is based on a fantasy (my brother read these books, & now I'm starting to get interested, thanks to this lovely painting ;)), 1 can make the ppl look any way they want. Heck, they do it in Japanese Anime all the time.

You have done an amazing job, & that would be cool if you did similar stuff for the other books in this series too. I'd be delighted to see them :D
